Who am I?
Wiebke came to design through an early love for photography, art, and design. In 2005, she received her bachelors in Computer Science/Digital Media from HTWK Leipzig, Germany. During her BA studies she worked for a web agency in Leipzig. She developed web concepts, information architectures and designs for mid-sized client companies. Due to the focus on usability and in particular accessibility for web applications during her work, she decided to write her bachelor thesis about the interaction between accessible web applications and legacy browsers and what constrains are created for the designer. In 2005, Wiebke further studied New Media and Digital Design at the ICPNM Academy (in joined program with the Rhode Island School of Design) in Providence, followed by a 1.5 year tenure as an Interaction Designer with SAP in Palo Alto. All this practical experience helped her realize that she really wants a stronger academic background in Interaction Design to deepen her skill set. By now, Wiebke has completed a 2-year program as a Master of Design in Interaction Design. As of July 2009 she’ll be working as a User Interface Designer for Salesforce.com in San Francisco.
